Esmond Lin

Esmond Y.C. Lin is the Senior Technical Manager of the Chemical and Process Department of the TOPTEAM International Patent & Trademark Office.

Mr. Lin has practiced in the intellectual property field since 1996, working with both large and small companies and universities, in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the fields of semiconductor, LCD, LED, organic chemistry, polymers, and nanotechnology.

Mr. Lin counsels clients on issues of patentability, infringement, and invalidity; he specializes in patent portfolio analysis, patent landscape and free-to-operate opinions.

Mr. Lin lectures around Taiwan and China on patent practice and strategies and is a member of the US Practice Committee of Taiwan Patent Attorneys Association.

Prior to joining TOPTEAM, Mr. Lin was employed as an in-house IP Counsellor at Arima Computer Corp.
